GP APPOINTMENTS

All GP appointments will be telephone appointments where appropriate. Please speak to a patient co-ordinator if you feel you need to be seen in person. All GP appointments must be pre-booked.

The patient co-ordinator is required to ask why you need to speak to a GP. This is to ensure you are receiving the appropriate service from us at all times. You do not need to go into great details, just a brief explanation is enough. All patient co-ordinators are given an extensive amount of GDPR training and are confident with our incredibly strict confidentiality policy.

You will be given an appointment for a telephone appointment. If the clinician feels you need to be seen face to face they will invite you into surgery.

You can request a specific GP for your telephone appointment, however they may not always be available, in this instance the receptionist will offer you an alternative.

If you miss your telephone call, it is down to clinicians discretion whether to call you back that day. The receptionist will not be able to offer you another appointment on the day of your missed telephone call. If you do not get a call back from the GP that same day you will have to call back the following day and request a new appointment,

It is the patients responsibility to cancel all unwanted appointments, you can do this by calling our dedicated cancellation line on 01226 282758 option 1.
